Bullet-Point

A closer look at what it is, what is in it, and what I built.

Dodge everything

  • Three levels of enemy waves that get denser and meaner as you go.
  • Triangle fighters fan out bullets in multi-wave spreads, and missile turrets launch homing missiles that chase you across the screen.
  • About fifteen minutes from the first shot to the credits, built to be replayed for a better score.

The boss

  • Opens with a slow, sparse bullet field to let you find your footing.
  • Then cycles through a beam-splitter blast, twin homing-missile turrets, shotgun bursts, and a field of mines.
  • In its later phases it stops taking turns and starts layering those attacks together.

Behind the game

  • Designed and refined the player controls so the game felt responsive and readable.
  • Created the enemy designs and built an enemy wave system to structure the action.
  • Built and tuned the 3 levels so the difficulty ramped up in a clear and satisfying way.
  • All art and code were made by our team, and the music was custom-made by our friend for the game.
